Hello Everyone,

I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend. Today I got to enjoy another Memorial Day in Beaver, at the Annual Parade. The weather was great, and lots of people poured on to Third Street to pay their respects to our active and deceased military Veterans. After the parade we followed everyone down to the Beaver Cemetery for the annual service. The service is always the best part of the day. Today I’ll be spending some time with friends and loved ones, I hope this great weather continues for the rest of the day.

I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to all the military families across Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and the entire Country. Thank you to all of you who serve this great nation, and thank you to your families who are so supportive of your sacrifice.

God bless,

I wanted to take a minute away from work to let you know that our new bumper stickers have arrived and are available. They are a lot more simple compared to the old ones…

“Jim Christiana Our State Representative” , in our typical colors. A wise politician once said that putting a bumper sticker on your car for a candidate is like writing a $500 contribution!! Our stickers won’t damage your car, and will come off very easily on November 4th! So please email info@jimchristiana.com with your request. Thanks for all the support!

Tonight I’ll be hosting another Town-Hall Meeting in Center Township. Everyone is welcome, we’ll start at 6:30 at the Center Township Municipal Building.

God bless,

Impressive! That’s the only word to describe Mrs. Vernocy’s fourth grade class. After a brief civics lesson about the balance of power, the role of the federal, state and local government, and the need to DREAM BIG- I took some questions from her students. This was a very standard operation until the questions came.

Question 1- What are your feelings about the economy?

Question 2- What’s your position on the Health Care Bill that just passed Congress?

Question 3- What’s your stance on Global Warming?

WOW what an impressive group of kids at the Brighton Township Elementary School. This was by far the highlight of my week, and I hope the students learned a lot.

Well I have a town-hall meeting tonight at the Brighton Township Municipal Building (6:30), then hopefully will catch the Pens wrapping up their series with the Canadians. Go Pens!!

We are wrapping up the day from the mobile office to watch the Pens hopefully clinch another spot in the Eastern Conference Finals, this would be the THIRD year in a row. … I mentioned “we” because Nick has signed on to a full time job as our campaign manager. He managed the campaign from start to finish last election while being a student at Robert Morris University. He graduated on Saturday, and is now a full time member of the team. Today we started laying the ground work for our Annual Wine Tasting event which we’ll have details for you later this week.

Tomorrow’s another full day of meeting with 4th graders in Brighton Township Elementary School, meeting with a Senior Citizens group, touring a steel manufacturing plant, and a Big Brother’s/Big Sister’s Board meeting……..

Check back tomorrow, GO PENS,

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I was back out ”pounding the pavement” in Brighton Township. It was a brief “Door-to-Door” day, but we got to 60 homes, 29 people were home, and TEN families signed up for yard signs. I met with Republicans, Democrats, Steel workers, homemakers, and people who have been hit hard by this econonmy. The common message to me was to continue to fight for fiscal responsibility in Harrisburg. The Rendell ways of taxing and spending are truly hurting people and they can’t take it any more. It’s time we reduce the legislature, we become more transparent, and we make government live within it’s means.

Another huge issue that continues to take its toll on families, is property tax. Families in Brighton Township continue to see rising property taxes and they are looking for someone to solve the problem, not make it worse. My message as many of you know, is that we have to get rid of property taxes, once and for all- no excuses!! The next Governor and the legislature must agree that property tax ELIMINATION must be on the agenda in 2011!.

Please check back tomorrow for another report.

God bless,

Jim

Hey everyone,

Today I had the honor to cast my first votes for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Even though the votes were done in a private meeting for the leadership of my party, it was still an awesome feeling. I also delivered on a very important campaign promise, to use my vote for responsible leaders who will work on delivering REAL REFORM in Harrisburg. I promised the 15th district that from day one, I would work to change the culture in Harrisburg, and I’m proud to say that I’m off on the right foot.

Tomorrow I’ll be headed back to Beaver County where we’ll continue to set up our District Office as quickly as possible so we’ll have a smooth transition for the constituents. Thank you for all the calls and emails of support, and lending a hand in this awkward situation. I’m so honored, humbled and anxious to start serving the people of Beaver County.

God bless,
